Ello everyone : )
First time using Vox, thought it was probably a good way of getting myself out there as an artist and musician as well as learning about the general community, hopefully getting to know a few people, what it's like on this side of the internet, as such.
I'm Alex and this is my project, I Alexander. I take it quite seriously and I thoroughly enjoy it. I hope you guys like what I'm doing here : )
As an artist I take a lot of influences from some of the more sophisticated heavy rock and hardcore based bands, such as Chiodos, Saosin, Incubus, etc. The stuff I have up here is a fair representation of me as an artist but I do tend to write heavier stuff as well, hopefully will have some of that uploaded soon.
I've been recording with a local record label (Purple Worm Records) in Hull and I've been gigging in my home town to build up a fan base. Trying my best to get my music to the right people which although is quite a large social group, they seem to be very select and hard to access sometimes : P
Should be releasing a 5 track EP and a music video within the next few months if all goes as planned, so I'll keep you in touch about that.
Gigging wise, I do have a live band but I mainly do acoustic gigs, but like, acoustic band gigs :P So it's not just me and my guitar, it's a couple of guitarists and a bass player and me on vocals/sometimes harmonica/sometimes keyboards if I can get a hold of one. If anyone is around the Hull or Yorkshire area in general, band wise or just people wise, please do get in touch, always like to talk to people nearby because it's amazing how little you can know about your own community, I mean often talking to one person can open an entirely new audience to you that you didn't really know existed.
I'm gonna put up a few of my tracks here for you guys to have a listen to, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
